Sha’Tisha Young

**COMMUNICATIONS & DATA MANAGER (THEY/THEM)**
Sha’Tisha Young is a committed abortion rights activist and former library staffer. Pivoting to full-time political work in 2019, they have several years of experience running social media and digital communications campaigns. Sha’Tisha attended Wright State University for a bachelor’s degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with dual minors in Classical Humanities and Youth and Community Engagement.

Ohio Women’s Alliance is based in the state now known as Ohio, specifically on Shawnee, Myaamia, Hopewell, Kaskakia land. We are guests of the traditional stewards of this land. Ohio is the traditional territory of hundreds of different indigenous tribes and nations, including the Erie, Wyandotte, Mingo, Shawnee, Delaware, Miami, Huron, Ojibwe, Potawatomi and Odawa. In spite of ethnic cleansing, forcible removal, unrecognized sovereignty, and outright denial of their existence, indigenous people are still here.
